The semester GPA is the total quality points divided by total GPA-counted credits, then rounded with standard rounding to 2 decimal places. The updated CGPA combines the student's existing quality points with this semester's quality points, then rounds with standard rounding to 2 decimal places.
Pass/fail and non-GPA grades are handled from the Universiti Malaya config: pass/fail handling is included only when the university data marks it as GPA-counted. Repeat-course handling uses this rule: For a student repeating a failed course or repeating the same course to improve academic performance, the better grade is taken into account; additional elective courses are counted cumulatively.
