How do I calculate my CGPA at a Ireland university?

Why does my friend at another Ireland university have a different GPA with the same grades?

Because the point values differ. Four courses at the second-best grade give 99.00 at Maynooth University (99 = 99.0 points) but 3.80 at Technological University Dublin (A2 = 3.8 points). Identical performance, different numbers.
