GPA and CGPA are calculated by multiplying each letter grade point equivalent by course credit units and dividing by total credit units. For semester GPA, each GPA-counted course is converted to quality points by multiplying grade points by credits. The semester GPA is the total quality points divided by total GPA-counted credits, then rounded with standard rounding to 2 decimal places. The updated CGPA combines the student's existing quality points with this semester's quality points, then rounds with standard rounding to 2 decimal places.
Pass/fail and non-GPA grades are handled from the Bilkent University config: supported pass grades are excluded from GPA points. Repeat-course handling uses this rule: For repeated courses, only the most recent grade is included in the CGPA.
