Semester and cumulative GPA are obtained by multiplying course credit hours by grade points, summing honor points, and dividing by attempted credit hours. For semester GPA, each GPA-counted course is converted to quality points by multiplying grade points by credits. The semester GPA is the total quality points divided by total GPA-counted credits, then rounded with standard rounding to 2 decimal places. The updated CGPA combines the student's existing quality points with this semester's quality points, then rounds with standard rounding to 2 decimal places.
Pass/fail and non-GPA grades are handled from the Australian University config: supported pass grades are excluded from GPA points. Repeat-course handling uses this rule: AU's official policy says the first repeat replaces the previous grade, while attempts after the first repeat are also calculated. The current engine cannot model that conditional repeat sequence exactly.
