The official handbook defines course grade points on a 4.00 scale and uses credit-hour weighted CGPA calculations. For semester GPA, each GPA-counted course is converted to quality points by multiplying grade points by credits. The semester GPA is the total quality points divided by total GPA-counted credits, then rounded with standard rounding to 2 decimal places. The updated CGPA combines the student's existing quality points with this semester's quality points, then rounds with standard rounding to 2 decimal places.
Pass/fail and non-GPA grades are handled from the Dhofar University config: supported pass grades are excluded from GPA points. Repeat-course handling uses this rule: Dhofar University states that when a course is repeated, all grades remain on the transcript but only the highest grade is considered in CGPA and CMGPA.
