UAlg official master/doctoral regulations state the final grade point average is on the 10-20 range of the 0-20 scale and is calculated from all curricular-unit grades, including final work where applicable, weighted by the number of ECTS credits. For semester GPA, each GPA-counted course is converted to quality points by multiplying grade points by credits. The semester GPA is the total quality points divided by total GPA-counted credits, then rounded with standard rounding to 2 decimal places. The updated CGPA combines the student's existing quality points with this semester's quality points, then rounds with standard rounding to 2 decimal places.
Pass/fail and non-GPA grades are handled from the University of Algarve config: supported pass grades are excluded from GPA points. Repeat-course handling uses this rule: The official sources identify the grading scale and ECTS-weighted final-average calculation, but repeated/retaken course treatment is not complete enough to automate safely.
