How the FAST National University GPA formula works

The scale uses plus and minus grades, so there are 13 distinct point values rather than a handful of whole steps: A+ is worth 4.0 and A is worth 4.0.

What gets left out of the average

CR, I, W, S, and U carry no point value at FAST National University, so a course marked with one of them drops out of the division entirely — it changes neither the top nor the bottom of the fraction.
