How the formula works

Tilburg states course credits use ECTS, grades are on the 1-10 scale, and selection/admission pages define study result as the weighted average grade of completed course components with grades and ECTS. For semester GPA, each GPA-counted course is converted to quality points by multiplying grade points by credits. The semester GPA is the total quality points divided by total GPA-counted credits, then rounded with standard rounding to 2 decimal places. The updated CGPA combines the student's existing quality points with this semester's quality points, then rounds with standard rounding to 2 decimal places.

Pass/fail and non-GPA grades are handled from the Tilburg University config: supported pass grades are excluded from GPA points. Repeat-course handling uses this rule: Tilburg pass/fail, programme OER, selection, and resit rules are programme-specific, so repeated-course handling is manual review.
