Sogang GPA is total grade points divided by credit hours; S/U and replaced R records do not influence evaluation points. For semester GPA, each GPA-counted course is converted to quality points by multiplying grade points by credits. The semester GPA is the total quality points divided by total GPA-counted credits, then rounded with standard rounding to 2 decimal places. The updated CGPA combines the student's existing quality points with this semester's quality points, then rounds with standard rounding to 2 decimal places.
Pass/fail and non-GPA grades are handled from the Sogang University config: supported pass grades are excluded from GPA points. Repeat-course handling uses this rule: Sogang states previous records are replaced with R and the newly taken record is counted in CGPA for course repetition.
