For semester GPA, each GPA-counted course is converted to quality points by multiplying grade points by credits. The semester GPA is the total quality points divided by total GPA-counted credits, then rounded with standard rounding to 3 decimal places. The updated CGPA combines the student's existing quality points with this semester's quality points, then rounds with standard rounding to 3 decimal places.
Pass/fail and non-GPA grades are handled from the Australian National University config: supported pass grades are excluded from GPA points. Repeat-course handling uses this rule: ANU's public GPA page defines the GPA formula and excluded grades but does not provide a general machine-calculable repeated-course replacement rule.
