GPA is calculated by multiplying each course grade point by the course credit hours, summing those values, and dividing by total credit hours attempted. Term GPA uses one term; cumulative GPA uses all courses attempted while registered in the level of study. For semester GPA, each GPA-counted course is converted to quality points by multiplying grade points by credits. The semester GPA is the total quality points divided by total GPA-counted credits, then rounded with standard rounding to 2 decimal places. The updated CGPA combines the student's existing quality points with this semester's quality points, then rounds with standard rounding to 2 decimal places.
Pass/fail and non-GPA grades are handled from the Dalhousie University config: supported pass grades are excluded from GPA points.
