TGPA and CGPA are calculated as the sum of course weights multiplied by earned grade points, divided by the sum of course weights, rounded to two decimals using normal rounding rules. For semester GPA, each GPA-counted course is converted to quality points by multiplying grade points by credits. The semester GPA is the total quality points divided by total GPA-counted credits, then rounded with standard rounding to 2 decimal places. The updated CGPA combines the student's existing quality points with this semester's quality points, then rounds with standard rounding to 2 decimal places.
Pass/fail and non-GPA grades are handled from the Toronto Metropolitan University config: supported pass grades are excluded from GPA points. Repeat-course handling uses this rule: TMU states the most recent repeated-course grade is substituted for previous grades in GPA calculation, even if the newer grade is lower.
