Each letter grade is multiplied by course units to produce grade points. Term GPA and CGPA are total grade points divided by total units, to two decimals. For semester GPA, each GPA-counted course is converted to quality points by multiplying grade points by credits. The semester GPA is the total quality points divided by total GPA-counted credits, then rounded with standard rounding to 2 decimal places. The updated CGPA combines the student's existing quality points with this semester's quality points, then rounds with standard rounding to 2 decimal places.
Pass/fail and non-GPA grades are handled from the Simon Fraser University config: supported pass grades are excluded from GPA points.
